Induct new trustees with the quiz
Write a short quiz about trustee duties or your own policies, set a pass mark, and new trustees take it from their induction page. Each pass is recorded with their name and score, giving you real evidence that induction happened.
Most trustee induction is a folder of documents nobody can prove was read. A short quiz changes that: each trustee answers a few questions and signs with their name. The pass is recorded as evidence. New trustees find their quizzes under Governance, then Your induction, with the trustee duties check first.
Write a quiz
- Go to Admin & settings, then Write quizzes.
- Choose New quiz. Give it a Title, an Intro saying what it checks and why, and a Pass mark (80% is the default).
- Set Retake every (months) if you want passes to expire, for example a yearly refresher. Leave it blank and a pass lasts until the questions change.
- Choose Add question. Write the question, two to six answer options, and mark the correct one.
- Add an Explanation, shown after answering, and a Reference such as a clause of your articles or CC3. This is where the learning happens.
- When the questions are ready, choose Publish new version. Questions aren't shown to trustees until you publish, so you can draft in peace.

If AI is switched on for your charity, choose Generate from your documents. It writes draft questions from your own governing document and adopted policies, with real clause references. Drafts are clearly flagged for review and stay hidden from trustees until you've checked them and published. Nothing goes live without you.
Taking a quiz
A trustee opens the quiz and answers the questions, then types their full name to finish. They see their score straight away, with the explanation for each answer. A pass is recorded with the name, score and date. The quiz page also shows you which serving trustees are up to date and who still needs to take it.
Common questions
What if someone fails? Nothing bad happens. They see which answers were wrong and why, and can retake it whenever they're ready.
What happens when I publish new questions? Everyone who passed the old version is asked to retake, so passes always reflect the current questions.
Can I delete a quiz? A quiz nobody has taken can be deleted. One with attempts is deactivated instead, because those attempts are your induction evidence and are kept.
