Run a video meeting

Checked 2026-08-06 · A couple of minutes to read

Choose CharityControl video (included) when you create the meeting. We set up a private room for you. On the day, open the meeting, select Start meeting, then Join video. The call opens in a new tab so the agenda stays in front of you.

Run the meeting on video

  1. When you create the meeting, set How will people join? to CharityControl video (included). We set up a private video room for you. There's nothing else to arrange.
  2. On the day, everyone opens the meeting from Meetings.
  3. Whoever is running it selects Start meeting. This starts the timer, and the live agenda appears inside the video call so everyone can see where you are.
  4. Select Join video. The call opens in a new browser tab.
  5. Keep the meeting page open in the first tab. That's where you work through the agenda, mark attendance and take votes.
  6. Use Next item to move through the agenda as you go.
  7. When you're done, select End meeting. The draft minutes are prepared for you straight away.

Good to know

Nobody needs a separate video account or a download. Everyone joins from inside the meeting page, so nobody has to install anything or make a separate account.

If you'd rather use Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, paste your link when you create the meeting and a join button appears instead. That works fine, though recording and transcription are only available with CharityControl video.

Want a written record? Use Record & transcribe on the meeting page, not any recording button inside the video window. See let AI draft your minutes.

Meeting in a room together? Open Present for a full-screen view of the agenda and timer you can put on a shared screen.
