Put your governance info on your own website
The Website & embeds page gives you short snippets to paste into your own website. One lists your published policies, one is a governance badge, and one is a donate button. Paste each one once and it keeps itself up to date.
Funders and the public increasingly check a charity's website for signs of good governance. These widgets let you show it without maintaining anything: publish a policy in CharityControl and your website updates on its own.
Add a widget to your website
- Open Admin & settings, then Website & embeds.
- Choose a widget. Published policies lists every policy you've published, each linking to its full text. The Governance badge is a small badge for your footer that links to your public board and policies. The Donate button sends visitors to your existing donation page.
- For the donate button, paste your donation link first (JustGiving, CAF Donate or your own page). CharityControl doesn't process the payment; the button just links to your page.
- Check the Preview to see how it will look, in your charity's own colours.
- Select the copy button next to the snippet.
- In WordPress, add a Custom HTML block to the page you want and paste the snippet in. The Website & embeds page has click-by-click WordPress steps, and no plugin is needed. Any other website builder with an HTML block works the same way.
- Publish the page on your site.
What happens next
The widget looks after itself. When you publish a new policy or your board changes, your website shows the update without you touching it. Back on the Website & embeds page, each widget shows an honest usage line like "Last seen on meadowbank.org · 12 loads this month", so you can confirm it's live. The counts are anonymous; nothing is recorded about your visitors.

If a funder wants a fuller picture than a badge, share your Assurance Profile, a private link showing how your controls stand.
