How CharityControl is funded
Subscriptions pay for CharityControl. Charities with income of £100,000 or less use it free, with no time limit and no card. Larger charities pay one price for the whole charity, from £39 a month. We never sell your data.
Where does the money come from?
Subscriptions. Larger charities pay a monthly or yearly fee, and that pays for the whole service, including the free plan for small charities and the free guides and templates on charitycontrol.org.
There's no other income. We don't sell data or run adverts, and we never take a cut of your donations.
Why is it free for small charities?
We think no small charity should have to pay to be well governed. If your charity's latest income on the Charity Commission register is £100,000 or less, your workspace is free. We check the register automatically when you sign up, so there's no form to fill in and nothing to apply for.
The free plan has no time limit and we never ask for a card. Charities with no income figure on the register yet, usually because they're new, get the free plan too. See what the free plan includes.
What do larger charities pay?
One price for the whole charity, however many trustees and volunteers use it. There are no per-seat charges, so inviting your whole board costs nothing extra.

Prices exclude VAT. Pay yearly and two months are free. Every workspace starts with 60 days free, which is long enough for most boards to meet and see it before deciding. We only ask for card details when you choose a paid plan. See plans and billing.
What don't we do?
- We never sell your data or anyone's personal details.
- We don't use advertising trackers.
- There's no setup fee and no charge per person.
- You can cancel a monthly plan whenever you like, and your records export cleanly because they belong to your charity. See change or cancel your plan.
