Your charity's own web address
Every charity gets its own address, like meadowbank-animal-rescue.charitycontrol.co.uk. Behind it, your charity's records are stored in their own separate database, never mixed with anyone else's. Share the address with your trustees, and bookmark it. Only people you've added can sign in.
What the address is
When you create your workspace, your charity gets an address of its own, based on its name. Meadowbank Animal Rescue, for example, lives at meadowbank-animal-rescue.charitycontrol.co.uk. You'll see the address on the confirmation page when you create the workspace, and it never changes.
Your records stay yours
Each charity's workspace has its own separate database on our servers. We store your minutes, supporters and registers on their own, never in a shared pot with other charities. Requests to your address can only ever reach your charity's records.
Share it with your trustees
The address itself isn't a secret. Everything behind it needs a sign-in, and only people you've added as users can get one. So bookmark it, and put it in your board papers. You can add it to your phone's home screen too.
Forgotten the address?
- Go to app.charitycontrol.co.uk.
- If you remember your workspace name, type it in and click Go to my workspace.
- If you don't, enter your email under Forgotten your workspace name? and click Email me my workspace links. We email you links to every workspace your email belongs to, and we tell nobody else.
If you help run more than one charity, each has its own address and workspace. Once you're signed in, a workspace switcher lets you move between them.
